Prof. Nieschlag, FRCP is currently a Professor Emeritus at the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Andrology of the University Hospital of Muenster, Germany.

Prof. Eberhard Nieschlag graduated as Doctor of Medicine from the University Of Bonn, Germany. Later on, he was qualified as specialist for Internal Medicine in 1975, then a Specialist for Clinical Endocrinology in 1977, and qualified as an Andrologist in 2004. Professor Nieschlag has an impressive list of previous & current assignments, he served as: Chairman of the World Health Organization(WHO) Special Programme in Human Reproduction Steering Committee of the Task Force on the Regulation of Male Fertility (1985-1990), the President of the German Society for Reproductive Medicine (1999-2003), President of the European Society of Endocrinology (2007-2011), Director of the Quality Control Programme of the German Society of Andrology (Since 2009-present), Emeritus Member of the International Committee on Contraception Research (ICCR) of the Population Council at Rockefeller Foundation, New York (since 2011), Member of the Society for the European Journal of Endocrinology (since 2001), Member of the Advisory Board of the German Klinefelter Syndrome Association (DKSV) (since 2000), and Member of the Scientific Advisory Council of the German Federal Medical Board (since 2004).

Prof. Nieschlag's main research interest lies in the fields of Reproductive Medicine, Andrology and Endocrinology. He has been awarded several honors on these fields including the “Distinguished Andrologist” of the American Society of Andrology (2007), German Federal Cross of Merit (2008), Outstanding Career Achievement Award, International Society of Men's Health (2011) and Berthold Medal and lecture of the German Society of Endocrinology (2012). Prof. Nieschlag has over 800 original papers in scientific journals and almost 300 contributions to books, editor/co-editor of 10 books. He also has given over 600 presentations at universities and scientific meetings in Germany, across Europe, North and South America, and different countries in Asia.
