Abstract	:	Graduates of the academic departments are considered to be a basic measurement for the quality of the higher education. Consequently, the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment in Saudi Arabia considered them one of the most important factors to depend on. As a result, this study intends to calculate the quantity and the methodology of the academic departments in following up with their graduates. It also aims at evaluating the communication programs, if there is any, via which the academic departments communicate with their alumni. This will be accomplished through a survey study that is dependent on the graduates of the LIS department at King Abdulaziz University. First, there will be a literature review accompanied by an Arabic and foreign applied Experiments in this field. There will also be a survey for the students who are expected to graduate in 1428/1429, experts in this field and staff members of LIS department. In addition to that, the study also intends to demonstrate the activities of the alumni office at the university. Finally, the study will propose a communication program between the graduates and their departments. Consequently, this program should become a model to be imitated by all the academic departments in Saudi Universities. The study reveals that despite the importance of the communication between the alumni and their departments, yet, there is no administrational unit or an official representative to communicate with the alumni. The presence of such a unit or a representative would achieve the goals of the communication, such as evaluating academic programs, developing the educational operations, and sponsoring the alumni. Therefore, the study proposes an integrated communicational program through the internet in order to maintain the contact between the alumni and their academic departments. This program is intended to become a model in academic departments of the Universities in Saudi Arabia.
