Abstract : ): This study on the role of the university in community service with the application of the King Abdul Aziz University and the study was limited to study and analyze the role of the university in serving the community in three ways: Create women to carry out its responsibilities Discuss the problems of the community Public awareness on the role of the citizen And that the importance of the role of universities in the world today, and that the University must play a primary role in guiding and community development. The importance of this study seem to identify how positive our university in the Kingdom and the understanding of the role incumbent on it and its mission in the overall development of masses of the Kingdom. And formulated the problem of the study in the form of Astvhammep, confronted the study to clarify three major points: 1 - clarify the role of university education in preparing women 2 - What is the role of the university to discuss the problems of society 3 - What is the role of the university in public awareness of the citizen The study to clarify three points with four main stages: Phase I: Search the roles imposed by the University to Phase II: the community's need for these roles Phase III: the actual status Phase IV: suggestions and methods to improve the situation Analysis study found the following results: That the interaction between the university and society is not as it should in the following areas: 1 - in the preparation of women 2 - in the area of citizen awareness 3 - in the area of research problems of society 4 - One of the main recommendations: 5 - - the development of university education because it is the proper approach to the development of comprehensive education 6 - Involvement of university officials and professors in the committees of development planning 7 - Establishment of a Department of graduates in the universities take a closer link between the university and its graduates 8 - to adapt the all its potential for raising the cultural level of the citizen
