Abstract : The objective of the given work is to study changes in crossing over frequency, functional activity of the Adh locus and state of main components of fitness at linear flies D. Melanogaster in dependence on age and experimentally created modifications in the genotype. Practical importance of obtained results. The materials highlighted in the paper prove that genotype changes in vivo and in vitro affect the fitness components at the insects under consideration and have practical importance in connection with wide introduction of techniques of cellular and genetic engineering into genetics and selection. These facts, according to which crossing over frequency may increase and structuring gene functioning may change under conditions of saturated crossing over and chromosome replacement in vitro, should be considered while carrying out outbreeding and genetic engineering manipulations.
