Abstract |

The present investigation showed that, the daily i.p. injection of 10 mg/kg thioridazine decreased the levels of glutamic acid, glutamine, aspartic acid, asparagine, GABA,glycine, alanine and taurine, in both brain and spinal cord of albino rat at different postnatal ages. This decrease was relatively greated in brain, particularly in the level of glutamic acid, glutamine, glycine and taurine. Also, there was an increase of GOT and GPT levels. Also, there was adecrease in total protein content and a decrease in the activity of AchE due to thioridazine ingection |
