Abstract : Liver glycogen content as well as serum glucose, total lipid, total cholesterol, total protein, albumin, globulin, urea, uric acid and creatinine concentrations were studied in male albino mice under the stress of Schistosoma mansoni infection and after the administration of RO-15-9268 to the infected and uninfected animals. Schistosomal infection caused significant decrements in the liver glycogen content and serum glucose, TL, Tch, and albumin concentrations while serum globulin, urea and uric acid levels were elevated. The normal levels of most of these parameters were restored after treatment of the infected animals with the RO 15-9268.
