Abstract	:	Imported fish samples of Sardin and Mackerel were collected from Great Cairo Market. The data indicated that some pesticides were found at high frequency such as dimethoate, P.P-DDA, lindane, endrin, hepachchlor and malathion. However, lower frequency was found with aldrin, B- BHC and methyl parathion. Although the incidence of some pesticides at relatively high, its mean concentration were found at below the permissible levels recorded by FAO. Resuts also showed that the imported Sardin and Mackerel contained high levels of lead and chromium, which are higher than the permissible limits recorded by FAO.
