Abstract : The cycloaddn. of diphenylnitrilimine with coumarin and chromone gave the cycloadducts I and II, resp. The structures of these products were based on elemental and spectral analyses and alternate synthesis. The orientations of the cycloaddn. are interpreted in terms of FMO theory.
