International Review Panel Evaluates CEGMR

        The Director of the CEGMR received appreciation from the external International peer review panel assigned by the Ministry of Higher Education, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for leading a team of research scientists with a common vision to develop the excellence center. 
 
        The external review panel noted CEGMR as having made good progress since the last review in November 2008 despite ‘Flash Floods’ of Jeddah in November 2009. They were shown the intended research plans of CEGMR for its continued development. The future success of the center will require more dedicated work on some critical issues that CEGMR has already taken into account. The panel was given a tour of the recently installed new advanced platforms at the center.

        The external review panel consisting of distinguished international academicians and managers led by Prof. Don Smith from the Royal Society of New Zealand and accompanied by Dr Ali Al-Ali, the General Secretary of the Centers of Excellence KSA (the Ministry of Higher Education) received a warm welcome at the center on their two day visit on 15-16th May 2010. The official transcript of their fact finding mission will be delivered to the relevant authorities and the CEGMR later.
