The scope of the Biomedical Engineering Department is to provide standard maintenance-repair and operation of all biomedical Laboratory equipment of the DGMU & CEGMR and supervise-monitor the equipment under the subcontractors and vendors list of equipment as per terms and condition contract.
Biomedical Technical unit performs Inventory, preventive maintenance, Service, spare parts management and safety inspections as per the manufacturer requirements and procedures.
The Biomedical Technical staff also provides education to laboratory staff, student and researchers on the applications and operation of the Laboratory devices-equipment and safety procedures.
Mechanical and Electrical work in DGMU & CEGMR evaluated by the Biomedical Technical Unit with a limited approach prior to use and to be coordinated to the maintenance department for any repair modification and other requirement. |
