Dr. Salina Yahya Saddick is an Associate Professor at Faculty of Science, Department of Biological sciences, King Abdulaziz University. In 2003, she completed her PhD degree in Reproductive Biology, University of Edinburgh, Scotland – United Kingdom. Dr. Salina is currently working on several strategies toward a better understanding of the disease prevention: investigate ways to reduce the risk of ovarian cancer, screening: look for ways to detect ovarian cancer at an early stage in healthy women and Genetic: attempt to determine how a woman’s genetic makeup can influence the detection, diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of ovarian cancer. She is also interested in Biobanking/biorepositories research: She recently visited department of surgery and cancer, Imperial College London in order to foster biospecimen management and biobanking research. Biobank will be a national health resource that aims to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of serious and life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, heart diseases etc. Dr. Salina is a member of various national and international organizations of reproductive biology and cancer research.
