Prof. Kuo-Chen Chou is the chief scientist of Gordon Life Science Institute. He is also an Advisory Professor of several Universities. He is the Editor-in-Chief for journals including Natural Science, The Open Bioinformatics Journal, Journal of Biomedical Science and Engineering, and Health.
He is a member of Editorial board for many reputed journals including Journal of Theoretical Biology, Protein & Peptide Letters, Medicinal Chemistry, Current Proteomics, Journal of Amino Acids etc. His research interests lies in the Prediction and modeling of drug-discovery-related proteins, Development of various novel methods in bioinformatics and proteomics, physical conceptions to elucidate various marvelous dynamic mechanisms in Bio-macromolecules, Development of graphical rules for studying enzyme kinetics and protein folding dynamics, Investigation of protein structural characters and revelation of their origin, diagrammatic approach for codon usage analysis, Investigation of internal collective motion of Bio-macromolecules and its biological functions. Prof Chou has published over 460 papers in the fields of Bioinformatics, computer-aided drug design, protein-structural prediction, low-frequency internal motion of protein and DNA and its biological functions, diffusion-controlled reactions of enzymes, as well as graphic rules in enzyme kinetics and other biological systems.
As of June 2013, Prof. Chou's publications have been cited more than 25,700 times with h-index of 86, according to ISI Science Citation Index (Web of Science).
